From March 12 to March 16, 2013, an ISH exhibition was held in Frankfurt am Main, where companies engaged in the production of sanitary ware and bathroom furniture presented their latest works.

The exhibition showed that the trend of using electronics in plumbing is gaining momentum. Equipment is becoming smarter, thanks to him, you can automate many processes and spend significantly less resources without losing in comfort and quality of life. This was proven by the company DORNBRACHT, which presented a new intelligent system Smart Water. Its sensory controls allow one hand movement to adjust the exact temperature and amount of water supplied by the mixer, and also to remember this choice. They are decentralized, and you can completely "play" with their location. Electronic iSpa, released by GESSI, have similar functionality, and they show the water temperature using the built-in LED backlight, which changes color depending on the degree of heating.

As for the design, then the factories continue to experiment with the palette and materials, and fresh solutions are sought in partnership with other brands. Thus, the Swiss company LAUFEN, together with KARTELL, has released a new collection of furniture. It has everything you need for a bathroom - from sinks and bathtubs to cabinets and shelves. From KARTELL this collection got bright orange polycarbonate in the finish, and from LAUFEN - the strongest and extremely lightweight material SaphirKeramik. ROCA and ARMANI used smoky glass to make the bathroom design more individual. In the palette of the factory CERAMICA FLAMINIA was not only white, but also milky, black, anthracite, the color of gray lava and ardeziya. Among the bright objects you can mention the Naked bathtub and washbasins from GLASS IDROMASSAGGIO. The trend for color support was also supported by tile manufacturers, for example, the APAVISA factory. But DURAVIT and AXOR, independently of each other, showed that they are interested in organic matter. The DuraStyle furniture series was finished in natural wood, and Philippe Starck created for AXOR a series of mixers that resemble plants with their curves.
