Like impressionism, at first very few people took Cubism with a bang. The term critics used as derogatory. But time has proved the rightness of innovative artists, and now no one doubts the talent of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, and their paintings beat price records at auctions. The course that arose in 1906-1907 was inspired by the works of Paul Cezanne. But the cubists went further: if the canvases of a famous landscape painter as a whole are quite realistic, then the works of his legal successors, whether it be a still life or a portrait, are composed entirely of multi-colored faces intersecting at different angles.
