Designer Роберто Laccery (Roberto Lazzeroni) became famous in the early 90s when he created for CECCOTTI amazing furniture collection in neomdern style. Nowadays, he does things completely different in spirit. In particular, his new collection for FLEXFORM MOOD inspired by french ar deko
Роберто Laccery says that the main source of inspiration for him is the work of the masters of the past. "I take some tricks and use them in a new way. For example, the tabletop of the table Shogun from the new collection for FLEXFORM MOOD I trimmed the parchment. This is the technique used by the designers of the era. ar dekosuch as Jean-Michel Frank and Jacques Adnet, "he explains.
I ask why design ideas are so popular these days. ar deko. Laccery replies without hesitation: "Because now the design is becoming more feminine. Objects are becoming lighter, lines are more subtle. Lightness and elegance are nothing massive and nothing monumental." He says that he recently visited New York, looked into the new TOM FORD boutique on Madison Avenue and was amazed: "This is a real triumph of male design. Everything is so massive, heavy. Maybe someone likes this design, but personally it seems to me that the era of harsh masculinity is over. " I ask you to give an example of architecture that Lazzeroni likes. Designer again refers to the era ar deko and recalls the famous Glass House (Maison de Verre), the interiors of which were created by Pierre Chareau.
Laccery makes very different furniture. For the company FLEXFORM MOOD he creates objects in a respectable-conservative style. And for the factory FASEM, "FASEM - This is a factory that is famous for its ability to work with leather. Big Shell has a complex shape, but all seams are flawless, "explains the designer.
