To create an interior of a “Parisian” apartment in St. Petersburg, an architect Anna Самойлова went to the capital of France. The result of the journey was a light, bright variation on the theme of the classics
“We have known the customer for over ten years,” says Anna Самойлова. - Together we worked on his other apartments and his own photo studio. The interiors that we designed before the room appeared on Krestovsky Island were far from the classical style. For many years, the customer wanted to make a “Parisian” apartment in St. Petersburg. Every time I had to dissuade him: either the view from the windows did not correspond to the ideas of Paris Boulevard, or the ceilings were not the same height. It seemed easier to buy an apartment in Paris! But here's a good case: the source data was just suitable for creating the Parisian image. ”
However, when the work began, everything was not so simple. “I always lacked a few square meters to accommodate all the wishes of the customer. At some point, I shifted one planning axis, the corridor shifted slightly, and everything fell into place, ”the architect recalls. The main ceremonial rooms - a living room, a kitchen-dining room, the owner's office - were located on the "specific" side of the apartment, overlooking the water surface of the Middle Nevka. On the other side, overlooking the courtyard of the house, were grouped private rooms - a bedroom with a master bathroom and a nursery.
All rooms of the front part of the apartment are interconnected by wide openings with sliding doors, which make it possible to unite the space as much as possible. The entrance hall is visually separated by columns and draperies. The living room managed to maintain a ceiling height of 3.4 meters due to the deep ceiling niche located above the seating area. The necessary communications (ventilation and elements of the “smart home”) were hidden in the lows of the ceiling and in the technological niches. The owner of the apartment paid special attention to the fact that the finished interior, its decoration and furniture fully corresponded to the 3D-visualization of the project. The kitchen and furniture for the living room and the office were made according to the drawings of the architect in the Italian factory SANTO PASSAIA, as well as painted wood panels in the living room and kitchen. And the built-in wardrobes in the hallway and the master bedroom were made to order at the St. Petersburg factory "Rodis". In the decoration of furniture and boiserie used texture, delicately imitating aging. "We did not seek to achieve a vintage impression, but wanted to get away from the emasculated white surfaces, to add a feeling of warmth to the interior," explains Anna.
Project author Anna Самойлова: “The interior of this apartment has been created scrupulously for two years. Its owner is used to doing everything very carefully. To create the necessary atmosphere in the interior, we traveled to Paris, gained emotions, wandered around the flea market in search of the right accessories. The color solution of the apartment was built on a combination of shades of ivory and dark brown - this is the customer’s favorite gamut ”
