I do not like the exhibition.S: But your last Modus kitchen, which the company BINOVA now shows on Eurocucina, - a very commercial project ... - Maybe. But I do not consider it from this point of view. In my life I have done many completely different things, so I can afford not to think about the market. Take the same cuisine: for ten years I have done for BINOVA eight different kitchens, and none of them have not yet been discontinued. I think the important thing is not the commercial aspect, but the idea. And Modus ... Modus is a joke. I was asked to make a new kitchen significant - I did. But its significance is not external: the kitchen only emphasizes the inner wealth of the person who cooks on it. In addition, this kitchen can be used as a wall. Then all the other walls will simply not be needed.S: What is your kitchen is fundamentally different, for example, from the kitchen invented Pininfarina? - Pininfarina makes the kitchen in the image of cars. For him, cuisine is style. For me, a concept. Any good interior designer can come up with good looks. My kitchen is the result of numerous studies that I have been conducting for ten years.S: Can you cook? - Yes. He began to do it seriously ten years ago and has now become almost a professional chef.S: And what are you cooking? - Anyway what. If only there was inspiration. I cook more often for the sake of the process itself than for the fact that it can be eaten later.S: What do you like to do? - Sit in a chair in the garden or on the rocks near the sea (I have a small house in Sardinia), think about my ideas and watch the sunset or sunrise. For many years I have been inventing not objects, but ideas, a philosophy of things.S: Which architecture do you like better? - Dynamic. Something you can destroy. I can not stand statics.S: Is it hard to be a famous designer? - It is difficult, I guess. But I am not a famous designer and not a designer in principle. I'm just a curious person.
