Architect's project Fedora Oparina set a number of difficult tasks for installers. In the room, defined as a home theater, the ceilings are ultimately exposed and loudly declares itself an epically folded fireplace of glass and steel

According to Fedora Oparina, the cinematic taste of the customer does not always determine what will be the cinema of his dreams. Similarly, according to the preferences of a person in art, it is impossible to judge the space in which he will be comfortable to sleep and wake up. Stories are known for many examples when Renaissance painting took place in sterile interiors, and fans of science fiction films opted for baroque-Mannerist chairs. The owners of a country house near St. Petersburg turned out to be people enthusiastic and professionally involved in the modern art process, so the author of the project did not have any difficulty in manipulating art styles and trends. On the contrary, people open to dialogue and home theater turned out to be open. Arranged on the second floor, it shares a room with a fireplace and a dining room. The organization of space is based on free zoning, with the main semantic load falling on a two-way sofa On the Rocks from the factory Seat. He scissors cuts the space of the hall into three habitats. Difficult from the point of view of acoustics, but the aesthetically determined decision was a bare ceiling with clusters of lamps. It is supported by a cylindrical fireplace, similar to an inverted hourglass or cryogenic installation of films about the coming future. The flames staring up fascinate not less than the films themselves. The house does not have a lack of lighting at all. Natural light spreads even from above, through the porthole in the roof. And only when the screen unfolds and captions appear, the light in the room goes out and the blinds silently drop on the windows.

SALON: Judging by the set of technology, the installation budget is evenly distributed between the cinema and control systems.

Daniil Pozdnyakov: At the cinema took less than half. The customer is a very experienced user of control systems, and most of his money is spent on them. The cinema is only one of the components of the system, not a fashionable fetish. From experience, I can say that today, some customers refuse from the Home Theater at all, since it is not possible to organize it correctly.

S: What are customer preferences?

 - For him, not the show is important, but the content. In particular, music is more in demand, not cinema. Therefore, we were faced with the task of making a universal system. Our client listens to a wide variety of music, and we recorded a whole collection on the server for him. Imagerge. By the way, audio servers are in demand by the market, and video servers are much less so. Because you want to listen to your favorite music regularly and in large quantities, and you only need to watch a movie once.

S: In the cinema, there were difficulties with the image?

- Even for St. Petersburg, this is a very bright apartment, so the cinema naturally caused a problem of exposure. We opened the exterior blinds on the windows to the control system, and they close automatically. Besides, there is a good projector here - PANASONIC PT-D5500. Its beauty is not even in the huge light flux (5000 ANSI lm), but in the relative ease of maintenance. Many do not favor projectors as sources of video, having seen enough in bars and cafes at the disgusting image of the devices, which, probably, are not cared for at all. This PANASONIC so arranged that routine maintenance work can be performed relatively rarely. Less concern for the customer.

S: You installed street speakers. Do customers often make sound outside?

- There are several outdoor multiroom areas - a balcony at home, a space under the balcony and another gazebo. It was recently completed, and now we are working on how to make it a reliable control audio server. Russia is not Africa, and touch panels are not resistant to frost ...

S: Question of the day: is there a concept of compatibility of sound equipment?

- It is rather a matter of decades ... Optimal hardware combinations, of course, exist. And do not forget about the acoustics of the room, which greatly affects the sound quality.
