Designer Alla Chubarova created a sophisticated Provence-style interior in a Moscow apartment. The atmosphere of creativity, harmony and joy reigns here.

The bas-reliefs of gypsum with a golden patina, glare of gold on furniture and chandeliers, thoughtful lighting of warm colors - all this creates an atmosphere of a transparent, sunny morning, joy and peace. “The owner of the apartment took an active part in decorating the apartment,” says the author of the project. - This is a sophisticated nature, and the interior - in the form in which it has developed as a result - is largely the merit of the hostess. I agree with my customers that one of the important functions of the interior is educational. After all, children tend to absorb all the impressions. And this project (among other things) we conceived as a tuning fork, with which their children will then check in their adult life. ”

As a leading style chose the classics, but the classics dim and quiet. The starting point was the style of the south of France with its characteristic gamut of ecru and light patinated furniture. Alla Chubarova compares this interior with perfume: first the top notes are revealed, then the middle notes, then the base notes. In this sense, the base is the typological features of the Provence style. In the role of middle notes are plaster bas-reliefs patinated under natural aged stone, and wall paintings. In the role of the upper ones are bright accessories like chandeliers with magnificent crystal pendants, colored table crystal, paintings and textiles. “We bet on individuality and hand made,” says Alla Chubarova. “Today it is the leading trend in interior design, the desire to move away from general standardization.”

The central part of the compositions in the hall and in the living room is a bas-relief, created on the basis of classical samples. However, it is absolutely original: this is Mikhail Sorokin’s author’s work on the classics. The composition is constructed in such a way that the bas-relief “holds” the interior. In the dining room, the leading decorative theme is different - lace. Lace patterns are painted on the glass cloth of the door, and on the table is a lace tablecloth. In the bedroom, fantasy painting on plaster attracts attention: chrysanthemums are from the arsenal of chinoiserie style. All rooms are united by a common palette (ecru). However, in the owner's office, the gamma is fundamentally different: here there is a plum shade, and sable color, and black lacquer. This creates a beautiful contrast between the rooms, gives some intrigue and is absolutely consistent with the spirit of the present era, which just loves eclecticism.

Project author Alla Chubarova: “There are photogenic interiors. Our interior in life is better than in the photo. It is built on nuances, entirely man-made and emphatically individual. And it has a sense of magic. Shooting transmits the atmosphere only partly "
