The new restaurant "Uzbek" in Moscow is not like many oriental restaurants. Here modern design techniques are combined with the principles of authenticity.

The restaurateur Mikhail Gokhner, who owns Bocconcino, Michael's, El Gaucho, At the Mill, Adit, and Ginger, recently opened a new restaurant, Uzbek. Here, almost everything is done by hand - wooden carved panels, clay mosaic, clay lamps above the bar, natural reed ceiling ... Fabrics, carpets, pillows, furniture, large wicker baskets and many decorative elements were bought at Eastern antique markets. On the ground floor there is a coffee shop and a Dastarkhan room with an open kitchen, a barbecue and a tandoor. On the second are the restaurant itself and a banquet hall. Here it is more and more pompous and oriental rich. Red carpets on the wall, brutal wooden furniture, a panel with images of delicious Uzbek dishes ... As for the menu, you should definitely try the traditional Uzbek pilaf, lagman with homemade noodles, hot tandoor flat cakes and fragrant kebabs.
