Petr Kozeikin: “The hosts are very satisfied: this is exactly what they wanted. And most importantly, the apartment continues to delight them, although a year has passed since we made it. I hope that the interior will live and develop further "

How did you start work on the project? Petr Kozeikin: From the first visit to the apartment. Then there were only risers and bearing partitions. And it was all kind of curved: a volume similar to a fan segment adjoined a rectangular volume on the side. I thought then that it would be rather difficult in such a plan to create rooms that would be in harmony with each other. But we found a solution. In the rectangular part of the apartment, there are ceremonial rooms and one of the bedrooms, and in the "fan" there are other bedrooms with bathrooms, dressing rooms and a storage room. In general, here it was necessary to provide a lot of rooms. Therefore, part of the rooms, it was decided to make small and use there transformer furniture. For example, such as a sofa bed in the grandmother’s bedroom: its wall leans back and it turns into a comfortable bed 1.4x2 meters. A bed in the nursery is mounted on the rails, so that it can be moved either to the closet or to the window.

SALON: You work mainly in the classics. How did the decision come to create here a mix of classic and modern? - That was the wish of the customers. The hosts did not want a stylistically seasoned classic, the living mix of modernity and classics is closer to them. In general, I suggested mixing all styles: modern, country, neoclassical, and neo-baroque. It is difficult to connect all this, but it is possible — with the help of coloristics and accessories. The color gamut is essentially three primary colors, the rest are companions. This is a soft natural palette of shades that perfectly harmonize. An important role is played by natural materials: wood, dyed and natural colors, leather, textile upholstery and curtains made of cotton, flax, silk. In general, if the material, shape and color at least a little bit combined with each other, then in general they form a good composition.

S: Share the secret: what did you combine with what and in what proportions? “Take for example the bedroom.” A bed, a Louis XV style armchair, a wallpaper with flowers is a classic. And the wallpaper under the board in the niche is already country. American lamps and a cabinet of laconic forms are absolutely modern in style ... I first got such an apartment. Mixing all styles makes me happy. I did not even think it would turn out so cozy. And yet I say: if it was an old mansion, I would have made a classic here. An important moment is the combination of the exterior and interior in the house in which you live. So, this house is located in one of the modern Moscow neighborhoods. The building is several floors, with brick walls. In a house with such a look, both country music, neoclassicism and modern forms will perfectly take root, as the interior of this apartment proved. I believe that when the interior is compared with the exterior of the house, and he, in turn, is verified with nature, this is almost an ideal situation.
