Louis Palomba we met at the Milan iSaloni exhibition at the ZUCCHETTI factory stand. KOS, where the designer represented the Wazebo shower system. In 2015, the jury members of the prestigious Design Plus Award recognized this project as one of the best.

SALON: How did you work on this project? Louis Palomba: Before I think of something, I always look around and start thinking about what a new bath, chair, chair or lamp might look like — no matter what item. For example, when Roberto and I invented the “01” sink for the company LAUFEN, we walked along the beach and saw small puddles of strange shapes on the sand. So the idea was born to make an unusual design of such a seemingly utilitarian subject. It is for this model that we received Red Dot. In the process of working on the Wazebo, nature also helped us. I wanted to create a light, almost invisible wellness station that would move easily. And most importantly, a person taking a shower in nature is not isolated from it, since the cabin is entirely glass. By the way, the name Wazebo is formed from two English words: water ("water") and gazebo ("arbor", "observation deck").

S: You work with many famous brands. I wonder whether the result always meets your expectations? “It is a great honor for me that almost all of our projects that we created together with Roberto were put into production. For designers it is very important and prestigious.
