"My life in art." The name of the book of memoirs of Stanislavsky best reflects the theme of this Moscow interior. Here you can see the whole creative “ideology” and all the main principles of the artist’s work on the interiors of Nadezhda Chernigova

This work is a new word in your creative biography. This time — Art Deco. From whom was the creative message coming? —Ar – deco — this is the last classical style in which details, materials, graphics of lines, complexity and sophistication of decor are so important ... And the short historical period of its existence has always been very attractive to me. This style makes it possible to combine both the asceticism of modernity and the luxury of past times. I am not interested in using furniture and items from catalogs in my interiors. In each item I am trying to bring something new, something different. The apartment is divided into two ideological zones. The first floor is a residential part, designed in the art deco style. The second floor is made in a more modern style and is something like a club ... There is a bar, a wine room and a gym. Here are located and the owner's office, and a library. My customers are reading people. In the roof we made three lanterns, which radically changed the whole atmosphere of this floor.

SALON: Some objects (a showcase cabinet in the dining room) and many lamps correspond to the level of auctioned art objects. Why is such a high bar taken when choosing a subject environment? “My customers allowed me to raise this bar very high. After all, we did something unique. Of course, almost all accessories are genuine items of the era, bought by me in galleries and exhibitions. Some pieces of furniture are also antiques. For example, the console, trimmed with parchment. As always, I tried to hide all the TVs. In the master bedroom and living room of the second floor they are hidden behind a special glass-mirror, in the living room - behind a sliding door. I really liked experimenting with leather, metal, glass. For example, I made doors in the master bedroom with mother-of-pearl plates with silver-plated bronze trim. Inlaid marble glass decor in the technique of Rene Lalique, while for the pearl shade glass was specially painted.

S: The color scheme in the interior is an independent topic. There are no sharp contrasts that the art deco style loves so much. —In fact, the whole color range of the apartment — these are mother-of-pearl shades from soft pink to gray and white. And only two zones — the front dining room and the children's block — have their own color. The front dining room is decorated with rosewood boasteri, but its main decoration is a fabric with a peacock feathers. I'm just in love with this fabric, and it was she who was the basis of the color scheme in this room. It relates more to the Ar-Nouveau period, but I believe that in this case it does not matter. Initially, the green color in it was a different, more emerald hue, and we were weaving a fabric with a special herbal green color.
