This courtyard became Italian not so long ago, only 82 years ago, when the Italian ambassador settled in the house. The Italians treated the house and garden carefully: the building was restored, returning to it the pre-revolutionary brilliance, and in the garden they smashed a lawn and planted peonies. The current mistress of the house, Johanna Facco Bonetti, the wife of the Italian ambassador to Russia, Mr. Gianfranco Facco Bonetti, also contributed - filled the house with modern art and flowers.
