Pointed canvas domes are clearly traced in the bright sky. Inside, the tent is supported by constructivist metal columns ... Architects and owners of the Moscow restaurant Karpacho (Ostozhenka Street, 40-42) are famous for easily playing in the field of a risky stylistic experiment - mixing aesthetics that are seemingly incompatible. In the restaurant itself, copies of Renaissance frescoes coexist with light metal furniture and large empty planes; biblical scenes are woven into a minimalist environment. However, the subtle taste of the authors and the sense of proportion have never failed them: "Karpacho", admittedly, is one of the best interiors of the capital. The summer terrace, hidden in the old Moscow courtyard, is a logical continuation of the restaurant. Behind the metal beams there is a view of a purple-gold mural, a golden coffee machine shines, a soft “milky” light floods the terrace ... From the moment it was opened, it would be necessary to declare not an summer, but an autumn, architectural sketch on the most piercing and beautiful two weeks. of the year.
