The modern generation of restaurateurs has no problems with political correctness. In any case, the restaurant "Propaganda" (St. Petersburg, Fontanka Embankment, d. 40), is not marked by the shame of our recent past. Moreover, it became the source of inspiration for creating this interior. So, first things first. The basement of house No. 40 has acquired the shape of either a bunker or a submarine. Of course, there is no militaristic background in this, rather, undisguised admiration for the post-revolutionary era, when the brutality of the environment was compensated by the romanticism of consciousness. The non-political nature of the author of the interior and the owners of the Propaganda did not prevent them from feeling the positive beginning of the 20s with their simple aesthetics. Hence - the rude furniture, handmade lampshades lamps, thick wrapping paper, replacing tablecloths. Long wooden shelves along the walls will be gradually filled with books, turning into a kind of library. Metal structures, similar to curved perforated rails, bend around the vaulted ceiling and serve for the installation of various artistic expositions. By the way, one of the main advantages of the interior is that it is ideally suited for creative actions. Today, its walls are decorated with posters of the 20s in the style of constructivism, and in the atmosphere is a subtle scent of nostalgia for a distant and ambiguous era.
