A beautiful interior concept is half the battle. The main thing is to grow a harmonious interior out of it, says the designer Mikhail Gubakin, head of MMSALON Interior Turnkey

Mikhail Gubakin He shares his personal experience: “Fortunately, today, in the fashion and interior fashion, a variety of styles are welcomed and their mixing in the most creative spirit. Why fortunately? Because it provides unlimited possibilities for the creative imagination of an architect (designer, decorator), and ultimately the customer can become the owner of a unique interior that takes into account all the requests of the owner. Such a super-individual approach.

But let's be realistic: this is at best, because on the way that an idea goes from an architect's workshop to a specific living space, it may change beyond recognition. And sometimes for prosaic reasons, which all, in general, boil down to the problem of "subcontractors". You, probably, heard revelations of architects about cases from the category of incidents. About, for example, that instead of a cream-colored kitchen from Europe, they sent black, and we had to urgently introduce black elements into the design of the kitchen. She pulled the rest of the interior. So instead of an airy apartment in bright colors, we got a space built on contrasts.

At some point, I realized that it was time to get my own construction company, but my furniture production would not hurt. (This is in addition to the architectural bureau and furniture salon, which were already at that time.) Now we have a building division and furniture - BOTTEGA ITALIANA. And it is really very convenient: it saves time, effort. And most importantly, we can now do anything - even eclecticism with neo-baroque elements, even a modern interior with neoclassical elements and with a slight bias in ar-deko, although softminimalism.

For example, the interior of the apartment in the "Kutuzovskaya Riviera" we did in collaboration with the decorator Vadim Vyaltsev. This is an open space, inside which the kitchen is enclosed. Sliding partitions only partially solved the problem of lighting. And then we let in the kitchen natural light from the living room: in the wall bordering the hotel, we made an opening and closed it with frosted glass. Since the living room - a continuous glazing, the flow of sunlight penetrates into the kitchen.

But the apartment in the "Federation" tower with a huge gilded pillar and a fake stone (it was also made in collaboration with Vadim Vyaltsev). Communication hides behind the elegant facade of the fireplace, and the golden column - the center of the composition of the whole apartment and the symbol of luxury - is in the past “just” a supporting structure. At that time, when I conceived my own construction company, my own production, I decided that I would implement not only my own architectural projects, but also projects of other architects. And I am very glad that today everything turned out as it was intended. ”
