Mary Isabel fabric with a typically English floral pattern is handmade. Such she was conceived by its creator - artist William Morris. And today, after almost 150 years, its exact copy has been released.

My work is a dream come true, "said the famous English artist William Morris, founder of the Arts and Crafts Movement (founded in the second half of the 19th century) and owner of a factory that produced fabulous beauty fabrics and wallpapers according to his own designs. the factory still has ancient boards, from which ornaments and samples of fabrics and wallpapers were printed by hand in the then-modern style - rosehip, thistle, daisies, birds ...

Morris believed that the living environment should be harmonious and comfortable, and this can only be if the furniture and fabrics are handmade. However, he was never just a theorist and implemented all these principles in his own, so-called Red House, built in 1860 in the vicinity of London. A year later, in 1861, he founded a factory MORRIS, MARSHALL, FAULKNER&CO. Шло время, предприятие несколько раз меняло владельца, но сохраняло главное - оригинальные орнаменты Морриса, а также ручную набивку тканей и обоев.

Soon 150 years how the factory exists MORRIS&CO. All this time, art nouveau did not go out of fashion, but in the last two or three years it has become especially popular in the interior. And the author's style of Morris here turned out to be more than helpful.
