A true professional and fashion connoisseur Valentin Yudashkin welcomes the latest technology in architecture and design. And believes that today the artist’s personality and his creative intent are becoming especially important.

SALON: You travel a lot around the world. Was this year the interior that impressed you?

- Perhaps the most memorable this year were the interiors of the new The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Hong Kong, which opened in the spring. A large number of glossy, lacquered, chrome-plated surfaces. Despite the fact that the interior was made by Americans, a lot of attention is paid to ethnic Chinese motifs, which are very organically woven into modern high-tech spaces.

S.: What is now fashionable in the interior world?

- Today, when technologies allow the designer to embody practically any, the most crazy idea, the influence of fashion is greatly weakened. At the forefront of the artist's personality and his personal intent. If it is fresh and new, it is remembered, it bears a charge of beauty, it is 100% fashionable. On different continents, unique interiors appear in the high-tech style, in minimalism, and in the classics. Eclecticism is still popular in today's interior scene.

S.: What signs, in your opinion, are inherent in a modern comfortable interior?

- The modern interior is primarily focused on the one who uses it. Maximum personal. It contains all possible modern technologies for a comfortable existence. And, of course, these are eco-friendly interiors that use natural materials. With the advent of LED technology, light design is also emerging. Multistage, variable, adapting to different scenarios, lighting adds value to any interior.

S.: What colors do you like, what kind of furniture?

- As for my color preferences, this is the whole palette of gray and purple hues. In my opinion, it allows you to create the most interesting and noble interior gamut. I love classic Russian furniture. In the new furniture collection that we recently released, for example, the theme of Russian is presented. ar-deko in modern rethinking. Of course, natural materials and ultranovye processing technology. So, when creating interior items, we widely use high-tech varnish coatings that do not alter the natural structure of wood.
