Once people invented concrete, mixing sand, lime mortar and cement. Durable material, not afraid of moisture and time, ideally suited for garden paths, foundations, slabs, fences. Over time, many materials for exterior work began to be used in the interior decoration of houses; wood, glass, metal became commonplace in the interior - and concrete was still paved with concrete, considering it a useful, but dead and cold material. This opinion changed when the fashion came to apply familiar materials in an unusual setting for them. At the beginning of the new millennium, concrete, and with it, marble chips and volcanic rocks, debuted as decorative materials. This composition on the "pedestal" of cement slabs could become a monument to minimalism: cylindrical vases of white stone with aluminum "seam" and candlesticks of volcanic rock. A collection of furniture and accessories: a huge floor vase of white marble chips, a simple chair with upholstery "under concrete" gray-green color and a pillow in a silk case, a low concrete table with aluminum inserts, enameled handmade dishes, a vase of rubber covered with a layer of concrete and stand for three fruits. A masterpiece of a collection - chairs from volcanic rocks from the island of Java. Stone and frozen lava create a mystical atmosphere: with the arrival of night, candles light up in a concrete candlestick, illuminating vases made of volcanic rock, as if reminding of a fiery stream that had once thrown down the terrible volcano. Flowers in a marble vase exude a delicate aroma, hands feel the coolness of a smooth concrete tabletop. A white stool made of marble chips looks monumental: marble adds value to objects. And concrete, like clay, makes it possible to experiment with form and design. For example, a vase with orchids is a concrete cube in which sixteen tubes are embedded: you can make any kind of flower arrangement. Daylight dispels a mystical haze: a lamp with a base of unrefined cement, a drooping lily in a cement vase, a modest gray-green armchair — quite casual and prosaic. A new word in the dining culture - concrete napkins: even simple dishes look solemn on them. The undoubted decoration of a Spartan-style table is a concrete egg stand. Modern interior, captured in concrete and frozen lava: a chair made of thick cloth, saturated with cement, a table of concrete slabs, a vase of volcanic rock and a concrete puzzle panel of twelve paired figures on painted wood. On the table - cement candlestick. Concrete furniture "under the tree" looks unexpectedly cozy, and classic table accessories are perfectly combined with vases of volcanic stone, petrified lava and rubber, covered with a layer of concrete. It is difficult to predict whether marble stools and concrete panels will take root - while you can only evaluate how they will look in the interior ...
