In this Moscow apartment, similar to a casket, there are a couple of home theaters and multiroom. But perhaps the most interesting feature of this installation is precise mechanics.

Main home cinema in the project apartment Elena Kochetkova (see magazine SALON-interior №118, "Lartsovy style") is located in the living room, functionally divided into three zones - a sofa, a dining room and a kitchen. The loudspeakers of the central and front channels from the KLIPSCH company plus the active subwoofer (sound component of the cinema) are installed here in an unusual way - they are embedded at a height of 20 centimeters from the floor into the podium from wenge and are closed from the outside with neat decorative grills.

Rear speakers are built into the living room ceiling SPEAKERCRAFT; the same speakers sound the dining area in the opposite corner of the living room. Moreover, in the bedroom above the huge bed, the acoustics (five speakers) of the multi-room system are also integrated.

The choice of a 50-inch plasma panel instead of a projector for a movie theater was completely justified. Plasma shows a bright and contrasting image even in conditions of strong external illumination, and there is plenty of daylight in the apartment - windows go to the floor and the entire width of the living room. However, further the installers made an unconventional move - they made a special transport mechanism, which allows using the programmed console to move the plasma silently and smoothly along the living room wall. This made it possible not only to significantly expand the comfort viewing zone, but also to beat the plasma panel as one of the central elements of this bright interior.

And what is important: the engineering solutions of the cinema as a result also work on the interior image of an apartment-casket - with walls, paneled with noble wenge, with a floor decorated with ebony inserts and rare varieties of marble.

Tells Anton solo.

SALON: What is the most interesting thing about this installation?

Anton solo: We made a transport mechanism for a plasma TV, equipped with electric drive and remote control. The transport consists of a rail mounted on the ceiling with a hinge (the screen bracket and the drive are fixed on it), as well as from the system of hidden movement of power and signal cables. The mechanism allows you to accurately move the display horizontally to a distance of six meters. Considering that a 50-inch plasma screen weighs about 30 kilograms (large inertia), and there was almost no space for installation, it turned out to be a daunting task.

S: Why did you need such a non-standard design at all?

 - The fact is that the overwhelming majority of brackets for flat-panel TVs are a very clumsy "accordion" type construction that is rigidly fixed to the wall. The maximum that it is capable of is to turn the screen at an angle, and this must be done in most cases manually. Our mechanism allows you to move the screen along the wall using the remote control without getting up from the chair - it is not only convenient when viewing, but also looks very unusual! To control the bracket, we used the TV tuner learning console, reserving two buttons for two commands in it.

S: Can this design be called the central element of a home theater?

- Perhaps, yes, in terms of precise mechanics, this is the most important element of the interior. As for the rest of the technology, the PIONEER PDP-506XDE plasma TV serves as a display for watching television and movies. Here, the player and the AV receiver of the brand act as a cinema DVD source. PIONEER; satellite television broadcast tuner TOPFIELD. In addition to the theater area in the apartment there is a multi-room component. JAMO and built-in acoustics in the ceiling. This is how the multiroom is made in the dining area (it is combined with the living room) and in the bedroom, where there is a second cinema fully implemented on the "in-built".

S: And you make custom designs for video projectors and screens?

 - Of course. Any atypical mechanical constructions are our main profile. We generally hold this opinion: the more complex the task, the more effective the solution will be.
