In the XIX century, Tegernsee was chosen by the European aristocracy after the Bavarian king Max Joseph ordered to build his summer residence here. Frequent guests of these places were the Russian Emperor Alexander I and Austrian Kaiser Franz Joseph I. We went not only to the lake, but also to the nearby Kreuth mineral spring.

The Bachmair Weissach also has a mineral spring. It originates on the alpine slopes. In summer, hotel guests are offered wellness baths. The hotel recently celebrated a century and a half anniversary. Bachmair is the name of its first owners. Now it belongs to the Kohler family. Kohl purchased the hotel in 2010 and immediately decided to change everything. The interior has been completely updated, with an emphasis on calm colors and natural materials, primarily light wood. The hotel has a SPA center with a Finnish sauna and tepidarium (dry steam room modeled on the Roman term). The specialists of the center have developed programs that use the products of the German cosmetic brand Susanne Kaufmann, made on the basis of natural oils and flower essences. The Bachmair Weissach restaurant specializes in local (Bavarian) cuisine. And recently here appeared fondue-corner.
