This house in the style of a European country villa is located in the Moscow region. The author of the project is an architect Vera Gerasimova created an exquisite comfortable interior in which representatives of three generations of the family feel great

Customers have long been working with Vera Gerasimova (one of their joint projects, house in Sochi, published in the magazine SALON-interior). This time they turned to the architect with a request to rebuild the house in the Moscow region, built 15-20 years ago. Since there was a mutual understanding between the architect and the customers, having described their preferences, they gave the architect complete freedom. “The peculiarity of the house’s layout was the fact that almost all the walls were load-bearing,” says Vera Gerasimova, - therefore, it was not possible to significantly intervene in the planning. But they completely redid the facades and interior of the house, and it was transformed. ” From the outside, the house looks like an English mansion: the facades are trimmed with ocher brick, rusts of natural limestone, and white platbands of the archkamnya on the windows. They are taken in so typical for England bindings broken down into squares.

The interior is more neutral in relation to "geography". The author of the project explains that she did not set herself the task of creating an interior neither in the English style, nor in the Provence style, nor in the spirit of the Italian Mediterranean. But there are some features of all this. The brightest of all is the mix of styles in the living room. When entering, first of all you pay attention to the ceiling with deep caissons. “We made the ceiling in the spirit of luxurious coffered ceilings of ancient Italian villas,” explains Vera. “Moreover, in order to create a feeling of a habitable home, we applied multi-layer patina and other aging technologies.” Another noticeable thing in the living room is an English fireplace with a cast iron portal that refers to Victorian era. And the total gamut of ecru (shades of white, beige, color of unbleached canvas and other similar ones) and classic furniture of laconic forms make us recall the Provence. Aged oriental carpets of a dimmed range are universal: they support all the decorative themes set here. “Our works are often attributed to Provence style,” says the architect, “but I think our style is different, it’s wider. Strictly speaking, it is eclectic, but not one where everything is combined with everything. It is based on European styles and includes elements of country music. This approach perfectly matches the spirit of the country mansion. But here it is important not to overdo it with deliberately rude elements, in general with deliberateness: “traces of time” should be neat, accessories should be thought out. For example, in the hall we put a brutal, shabby chest. But this is just one such thing in the house. And it does not destroy, but only emphasizes the overall modality of sophistication. "

Project author Vera Gerasimova: “In this interior we used elements of country music, such as wood paneling, painted furniture, and aging. They helped emphasize the luxury of silk curtains, handmade carpets, leather armchairs and Venetian glass chandeliers. Taking contrast is one of our favorite tricks. ”
