SALON: Your early works were glamorous, theatrical, remember at least furniture for VISIONNAIRE ...
- Mistakes of youth. No, of course, this is a joke. This style was relevant for my creativity and for design in general some time ago. But at the moment glamor is dead, this trend is a thing of the past, and I can tell you with all the responsibility.
S: How do you see the current interior?
- Now modesty is in fashion. I decode this concept as “aristocratic restraint” - restraint of forms, coloristic decisions. At the same time, the luxury format has not disappeared anywhere, and the luxury of our days is, first of all, expensive finishes and unconditional quality, which has years and years of experience and knowledge. All this applies to the brand, the creative director of which I recently am.
S: How do you think a modern designer should work?
- I am for an integrated approach: in the era of globalization of everything and everything, it’s time to abandon the creation of separate things, you need to develop entire interior concepts at once.
