Snøhetta: hotel on a tree

One of the most "star" buildings network Treehotel - The 7th Room Hotel in Sweden. It was created by the architects of the Norwegian bureau Snøhetta, the authors of the grandiose project of the World Culture Center in Saudi Arabia and the famous Opera in Oslo.

The hotel opened in January 2017. It is located in a pine forest in northern Sweden, where tall ship trunks stretch to growing magnificent crowns. Located ten meters above the ground on a canopy between the trees, the hotel offers its guests a breathtaking view of the snowy distances of Lapland and the Lule River.

The cabin is supported by 12 pillars: this design creates a feeling of height, weightlessness and at the same time reliability. The facade in the spirit of the northern buildings is faced with black burnt pine boards. The interior is covered with light birch plywood. Upstairs, guests take the stairs, but there is a small elevator for luggage.

The space of 55 m² is designed for five guests. Lounge area, two bedrooms with beds, built into the floor of ash, outdoor terrace - all rooms are located on different levels.
