Flos presented a new collection of lamps at the Light + Building exhibition in Frankfurt. Light + Building (March 13-18, 2016) is an annual international platform, the most representative and largest in the world, where the latest achievements of lighting and building technologies, “building life support systems” are demonstrated: 2500 manufacturers, 22 pavilions.
The motto of the current show: "Living space: digital - network - individual solutions." At the exhibition - solutions and technologies that increase the comfort and opportunities for individual use of various types of equipment, biological light - new products that take into account the effect of light on human health and human performance, digital buildings - network developments for electrical engineering, unified automation and control systems, various design innovations trends.
Among the star members of Light + Building is the Italian company Flos. In its potential there are different directions and long-term cooperation with leading designers. Search for new ideas, emotions and archetypes for Flos are Philippe Starck and Konstantin Grcic, Marcel Wanders and Michael Anastassiades, Patricia Urkiola and other recognized talents.

This year, Flos has focused on linking its products with the architectural environment. The exhibition featured a large number of models of exterior and interior lamps and fittings. Part of the new collection, as well as an exhibition booth of 700 square meters. m, made by the famous Belgian minimalist designer Vincent van Deisen.

Under his lighting installation, demonstrated for the first time, the central part of the stand was set aside. Also on display are lamps designed by Philippe Starck, exterior lighting by Piero Lissoni and the Scandinavian designs by Niels Bendsen.

Sculptural qualities combined with a clear architectural structure, the use of advanced materials - this is what distinguishes Flos products. Light panels and other elements of illumination are both self-valuable design objects, and addition, organically included in any, even the most complex, interior space.

Recently, the Italian company Ares, the leader in the outdoor lighting segment, was joined to the Flos Group. Thus, Flos significantly expanded its product range. The result of the successful interaction was the collection Flos Outdoor, which was also first presented at Light + Building Fair 2016.
