There is a chance that a sample of modern Dutch architecture will appear in Moscow. The city council approved the project proposed by one of the most ambitious and famous teams - the MVRDV Rotterdam Bureau.

If the project is implemented, a multi-storey building with a total height of 76 meters and a complex pixel structure will appear at the intersection of Academician Sakharov Avenue and Sadovaya-Spasskaya Street.

The working name of the residential complex is “Silhouettes”. The site of the proposed building has been empty since the 1970s. A special challenge for designers was the neighborhood of the future house with the architectural monuments of the twentieth century: the Tsentrosoyuz House is located nearby - the Le Corbusier project of 1935, and in some perspectives the future building turns into a dialogue with the high-rise building on the Red Gate Square (1947-1952) - the project of architect Alexey Dushkin . Directly opposite the new building stands the famous building of Alexei Shchusev - House of the People's Commissariat (1928).

Red brick with a different reflective surface is the business card of the new complex.

The red color of this particular building determined the color of the facades proposed by the MVRDV architects, led by Vinny Maas. The special chic of the red surface will ensure the use of several brick variants, with different reflectivity. With this technology, the red color will look rich and varied depending on the season and lighting.

In the lower floors of the building are planned commercial space intended for offices, restaurants, shops.

In the short-list of the competition for the construction of the complex, in addition to MVRDV, were the projects of the Moscow bureau Meganom and the British Simpson. The construction customer is Osnova Group of Companies. General Designer - APEX project bureau.
