The decorators bureau of Sisters was founded by two sisters, architects Zhesya Mikhailova and Natalya Khlypavka. Their new project is an apartment of 100 sq. M. m in St. Petersburg. The interior is dominated by black and white graphics.

“We worked with these clients for the first time,” the project authors say. - The task they formulated briefly: to make correctly and beautifully. As soon as we showed the first sketches, all questions disappeared, then our decisions were easily made, no disputes arose. I must say that to come up with - the easiest stage in any project. It is much more difficult to build, as a result, more than a year passed before the work was completed.
Initially, it was a good house with a competent layout, so they changed quite a bit. The result is a beautiful, correct apartment: there is a common area for the living room-kitchen, the master bedroom with its dressing room and spacious bathroom. A separate area “hangers”, where everyday things are hidden: a black and white cube, open from the top.
The main focus is on the finish. In the living room, the wall with windows is sheathed in wood, the windows are clad in “portals” of wood with an inset of capstone. Four black stone pylons with vertical illumination highlight the area near the TV. The dressing room in the main bedroom is also decorated with wood.

There are many details invented by us, for example, stone inserts are included in the floor pattern, the same as the portals above the windows, the doors are made with black ends. All doors we have designed the maximum height. They even managed to make a glass door to one of the bedrooms so that the light axis of the apartment would be convincing and noticeable.
A lot of furniture is made according to our projects: lacquered black wardrobes, low TV stand, huge mirrors in the living room area, a long chest of drawers in the main bedroom, furniture in the bathrooms, beds in textile decoration. Even the ceiling with black stripes for the central chandelier was also made to order. Black and white graphics in everything: strictly and expressively.
In our opinion, in any case the most important thing is the idea. The task of the decorator is to create and create an atmosphere that translates this idea. Well, the color of the walls is just a tool. ”
