Lithos design: the luxury of nature

The Lithos Design brand appeared less than ten years ago, but is already well known all over the world. It was created by brothers Claudio and Alberto Bevilacqua, who head the company Bevilacqua Marmi. The style defines the cooperation with the famous industrial designer, a graduate of the Venetian Academy of Arts Raffaello Galiotto (Rafaello Galiotto) - it was his taste and artistry that allowed to realize the most daring projects. Lithos Design specializes in the manufacture of products from natural stone: the company works with limestone, sandstone and marble, creating panels with a 3D embossed pattern, engraved with machine engraving, and modular openwork partitions. It was the choice of material that first of all determined the success of Lithos Design: the uniqueness of natural texture and design is valued more and more in comparison with standard products of mass production.

Stone coatings are ideal both on the walls of residential interiors and on street facades. They retain their natural beauty over time, do not burn, do not contribute to the development of bacteria and mold. The company does not use chemicals for pickling stone, so its products are environmentally safe. Lithos Design partitions and coatings have sound absorption properties (due to the intrinsic characteristics of the material's porosity and its special processing), which becomes an important factor for solving such spaces as theaters, cinemas, media libraries, recording studios and concert halls.

The name of the first collection of Lithos Design Domino, developed by Raffaelo Galiotto - Cesello - is translated as “scissors”. It includes 6 variants of marble covering with a relief pattern imitating fibers, textiles, corrugated paper, sand dunes. Shades: white cotton, icy Carrara, white narcissus, cream dahlia, cream, vanilla, beige, gray ash. Format 45.7 by 45.7 cm, thickness 1.5 cm.

Two years ago, Raffaello Galiotto developed a successful Opus program for Lithos Design: 25 types of stone, 12 palettes, 5 ornaments (Allegro, Mikado, Bambu, Tangram, Anemone), which are perfectly combined among themselves. Galiotto applied the technique of inlay, which dates back to the XVI century and is the glory of Italian arts and crafts. Variations of tones and rhythms allow architects and decorators in each of the projects to get a unique design. Size of modules: 60 x 60 cm. The Opus program used stone from different parts of the world: Verde jada marble from China, Bianco Thassos from Greece, Nero Markvin from Spain, Azul Macaubas from Brazil, yellow and red travertine from Iran, etc.

One of the most famous collections of Lithos Design marble modules is called Drappi di Pietra (“Stone Draperies”). Thanks to a special technology, they imitate the texture and texture of real textiles. The surfaces strike with complex three-dimensional patterns and optical effects, creating a unique play of light and shadow in the interior.
