Today, like the best designers of his generation, Arik Levy is active in the field of art. Positioning itself as a sculptor, creates unique and short-run objects for private and museum collections. The theme that sounds stronger than others in the work of Levi the artist is stones, fragments of rocks and mountains. Polished to a mirror shine, two-meter artifacts of steel, bronze and copper shimmer like giant jewels against the green of well-kept parks and the whiteness of the gallery walls.

“I work as a scientist: I am interested in the“ DNA of things ”. It is determined by the specific circumstances, materials, technology, in the end, people and their desires. New technologies and materials give greater freedom not only for the realization of objects, but also for the thinking itself. It is very important to feel the connection of ideas and materials. I like the transformation process when something is born out of nothing. The main thing is to associate yourself with the project and constantly analyze it.

I myself make experimental models. Traction to experiments since childhood. When I went to kindergarten, while all the children were playing in the sand, he was sorting out irons, fans, watches. He was obsessed with dismantling all the mechanisms. The father said: “Our son is crazy.” I often broke objects and made new ones from the wreckage. For example, collected airplanes. At the same time, he was a very bad “pilot”: he ran six airplanes at the same time, and they all crashed. It took at least a week to repair, and all in order to break them again.

At age 12, made the first boat with a sail on the remote control. When she was launched, three generations of our family were present: me, dad and grandfather. And the boat successfully passed the test. It was a fantastic time and a unique experience that still helps me. ”
