The new restaurant "Casa del Meat" on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg can be called a restaurant with a history

Project author Sergey Televnomu "Got" an abandoned basement. “When they began to clear the premises,” says the architect, “they found 300 ancient slabs of“ Putilov stone ”in the ground. But the findings are not over. Under a thick layer of plaster, ancient brick vaults were “opened”, which were very well preserved. When designing, on the one hand, I was inspired by the Brazilian restaurants of the Fogo de Chao chain - this is how a portrait of a nameless Latin American winemaker appeared above the bar counter. On the other hand, the restaurant is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, and there was no escaping the imperial style either, therefore there is so much forging, aged bronze, huge chandeliers and candelabra. ”
