Angelo Carpanelli reflects on the Botero table and the traditions of the factory: “CARPANELLI is a family business. Many people point out that our furniture has its own face, it is artistic and theatrical, that it actually has something from sculpture: complex curvilinear forms, thoroughly worked surfaces. And it is created according to the principles of working with sculpture. The prototype is first molded from clay, then reproduced in a tree. So, this table is made of canaletto walnut (this variety has a wonderful striped texture). The pattern in the center is laid out in a mosaic technique. A variety of tabletop decor options are possible: Canaletto walnut with nubuck, leather, glass, marble. Authorship belongs to Leopoldo Carpanelli, the oldest designer of our factory. He has been working here for 50 years, and the factory itself is almost 100, we will celebrate the anniversary in 2019 ”
