Love for nature in modern design takes the most unexpected forms. Most recently, decorators remembered the birds. Bright plumage, as it turned out, can also be a source of inspiration. And also an excellent material for creating luxurious accessories. As usual, fashion-shows were the first to "ofer", followed by interior items. The house, dressed "in fluff and feathers," - this has not happened ... Since European colonists saw Indian plumes, the New World did not know such a feather boom. Feathers expanded dresses, skirts, bags, belts, shoes, brooches, presenting a choice of the entire style palette - from the “wildness” of ROBERTO CAVALLI to the pearl of HELMUT LANG or BLUMARINE. So, interior fashion should be very grateful to Haute Couture: high fashion was so convincing in the demonstration of "feather" luxury, that by the time it appeared in the decor of lamps and pillows, the mass consciousness was ready for this. However, this does not mean that the feathers were perceived as something commonplace. Strangely enough, their huge amount did not affect the quality: today they are also associated with chic, as it was, say, in the early 1900s - in the era of Charleston, decorated with pearl feathers and studded with rhinestones. All this romanticism of the time of silent cinema has remained, but today it has become more free: feathers can now be combined with leather, suede, glass, metal, and even plastic. Such freedom, like any other, is cunning: glamor too often borders on kitsch, and before turning the interior into a “miracle with feathers,” you should carefully study the solutions offered by the designers. One of the most effective is to use feathers in an ethno-exotic environment. By the way, if you look closely, you can easily find that the designers feed the addiction exclusively to the feathers of exotic birds. No wonder ... Of course, feather-embellished accessories are a luxury. But is it worth fearing accusations of passion for excess? After all, feathers are so beautiful that today they are used in the most unexpected objects. And if the pickup for curtains of feathers at some point seems too unusual, thanks to the beauty it can be used in another quality. Maybe as a bookmark for a book? ..
