Designers, as well as the heroes of the “Golden Calf”, were seized with a thirst for freedom. True, unlike Ilf and Petrov, they decided to look for her not in Latin America, but in Africa and Australia

Although it is believed that humanity has gone, on the one hand, from Africa, on the other - from Australia, these continents compared to others, where people appeared much later, developed much more slowly than the "competitors". On these continents bypassed by evolution, primitive orders were preserved for a long time. Now, of course, even in Uganda they know about iPhones, and in Australia they launch satellites. But there remained the tribes that live the old way: the same way, the same attributes. In search of new motifs, designers turned to these little-known cultures, and prints with characteristic geometric motifs appeared in the interior use: as if drawn in the sand in circles, squares and their ilk.

EMMEBI went even further. Designer Claudio Biettiti invented the Tattoo wardrobe, the facades of which are decorated with tattoos, as on the bodies of the natives. Designers of the GIORGIO COLLECTION factory made vases in the shape of a horn (like those with which natives transmit signals over long distances), while SMANIA CASA has plates - just like those on which local dishes are served. Not to mention the direct references in the form of wicker baskets and figures of indignity. Characteristic colors are also popular: all shades of brown and brick, burnt red are like Ayers Rock, one of the main natural attractions of Australia.
